Disco bay 6/21 results

Launched my big fish outta discovery bay marina(for free if you dump in off the dock instead of the ramp) at 9, and spent about 4 hours pounding the banks and slips.

Saw a dead 6" sunfish floating by the launch, shoulda taken that as an omen and just went back home.
It was miserable, 100 degrees, water was full of weeds and looked like pea soup. Got a bite in the tules with a waky senko, and found another dink behind a slip with a robo worm on a dropshot. Nothin else gettin a look. ventured out into the sloughs for a bit to look for passing stripers, but ended up pulling in 2 feet of weeds on my glidebait every cast. Gunked  up my pedal drive, bixpy, transducer, and rudder just about every hour and had to constantly cut the weeds out with my fillet knife.
Shits tough out there right now, I'm sure gettin out there at dawn would net better results for largemouth. Maybe.

Stay away the fish are gone lol

Restore the Delta posted harmful algae bloom alerts for discovery bay  earlier this month.  The water was hitting 80* in there a couple weeks back and starting to turn that bright green already. Time for a change of venue.
