Fished the bar at Tomales for 4 hours yesterday for zip.  There were 20 boats working the bar on the incoming tide and i saw 4-5 fish come over the rails.  I didn't have time to make live bait so I mooched with sardines and anchovey, tried jigging and fishtraps.  Not even a scratch.  I know that a few guys have picked up salmon mooching the bar and the halibut are there.  Maybe I should try linda mar.   My friend fished linda mar yesterday in a pb and limited on salmon and caught a striper.  He said there was a huge mass of birds and bait just outside the cove.

Dave - most of us didn't do too well at LM yesterday - I think Jeff W. (the trolling scout) lost one good one by the yak. Chuck and Jason fished the area around noon to no avail. Kevin trolled mid afternoon and got nothing. Mike and I followed in the early evening and (and another Mike / Red Prowler) did not get any as well. Mike / Sturgy got a Thresher. Mike / Red Prowler trolled around for nothing. Seems like the fish are still spread out. We did not meter any bait fish in and around 60 ft of water.

Anyway, we may try again this Sat. - company welcome.

Thanks.  Sean and I have been talking about it and may join you on sunday.  I am waiting for the friday report from Tomales.  I it is good enough to dive on Sat. I will do that.  Possibly see you Sunday.  Was anybody diving Linda Mar?  What was the water visibility when you were out yesterday?

I saw one diver in about 20 ft. of water last night - right by the South side - as we were paddling out. I'm not diver - so I can't really give you an accurate report on visibility.

I'll be paddling local waters this weekend - HMB or LM. Sean has my number - if you guys wanna hook up - and maybe have some Ono Hawaiian grill after the fishing  :smt007
