Good number of minnows to start with?

  Complete live bait noob question here. On a good day, whats the expected number of live bait one might go through in a typical day trolling/tossing bait  on a lake, say like Del Valle?  I'd like to know what would be the proper number of bait to get, without getting too many (not being able to use them up.)

A dozen is a good start but get as many as you can keep alive. If you have enough you can release the ones that you drag around for a while, lively bait is the best.
