Crabbing tomorrow Bodega?

Is anyone else planning an outing?

I was thinking about it but it's looking too windy for me. Offshore (out to sea) gusts up to 20 knots throughout the day. This is according to Surfline. I've got my eye on Monday though!

I was able to find 'em on the 13th. I could use some company if anyone will be there on Monday (the 20th) and wants to link up! Or I could bring the dog for company but he don't say much

I get free fish heads and trimmings from a local seafood shop. I'd be happy to bring plenty extra

That day will be a good test for swell.  There is a 7@10 from the NW that seems to be fully blocked from the grounds by the Bodega head.  The only direct swell is a 2@10 from the south.  I hope you report on how the inner bay faired...

I'll try and make a point to report back! Definitely keeping it to the inner bay. I've yet to paddle the 10ft Lifetime yak too far out and Monday will not be the day that changes 

I've got my eye on the 11:09am slack low tide. I've had luck close to shore on slack incoming tides. Hopefully this works out too. I've got my eye on an area where it levels out around 55ft deep. If all goes to plan there'll be crab dip at thanksgiving!

Dang Smelly, I’m weighing tomorrow at Doran quite ponderously…I may have to go pickup my crabby Kraken out of storage to join ya’.  If that happens, I’ll see ya’ there.  I’d like to see conditions for my own eyeballs to determine how these conditions work for that area.  Stay tuned you threadjacker you…

I did not.  I did find 8 though so now I’ve got crabundance…

I crabbed Doran on Sunday -- winds were up from the start of the day. Ended up with 4 including two jumbos. The numbers were as good or better for those casting snares from the beach by the jetty FWIW.
