I have an OK Scrambler XT that my wife uses. It has one of those kidney belt type seats on it.  She is comfortable with it.  But, if I use the kayak I am hurting in about 5 minutes.  Does anyone have a used high back seat they want to sell.  I don't need anything fancy.  I just need to get rid of the torture device on there now.

I live in Santa Rosa, so anything local would be great.

Hi Yaker:

I have a Hard back seat made for the XT. They don't make them anymore. I no longer have a XT. I could vist my Son in Santa
Rosa next week-end and bring it by then.

Ernie,
That looks a lot like the seat she has on there now.  But, hers is made of a Cordura type material, not a hard shell.  I think I'm looking for something else.  I really appreciate your answering so quickly and don't want to appear too picky.  I'm just not sure it would help much.

Hi Yaker:

No problem. I purchased the Hard Shell for Diving and
Max. Back support for long trips. I'll Keep it for my next XT.
It may not be your seat but, the way your paddling. Try sticking your paddle and twisting your body with each stroke.
Try not to use just your arms.
The XT is not the fastest Yak and can be a real log when fighting the Wind.

                                                                   Good luck
