American River/Creek

Just FYI,

 Passed over the American River today @ both 80 and 160, never seen the American so low..

  Don't know what this means for future fishing, but can't be good ..... Danglin

Yeah, its really low right now.   I hope that doesn't keep the salmon from coming up this year.  I'll have to get back out there next week, I've been too busy playing with my new bike to yak for the last week or so...

We got 1/2 closer to 3/4 of an inch of rain up here on the mountain today and looks like more tomorrow. Hopefully this will help the whole watershed. The Sac and feather sound like there ready to roll. With the feather getting ready to close above the Sunset pumps/live oak. Jim, wear the shine off that bike and then lets hit the river up here or better yet lets do Lake Almanor for Smallies/browns/kings/rainbows/cats/big carp and more.

i will be up in almanor from the 29th on.

I will be at butt valley/Almanor from the 19 to the 21 of Oct. jam up for A day bigfoot, I will have bourbon.

I go hwy 70 to, to A dirt road just past beldon town.the cold temp is what I like, I have camped there every year since I was ten,always in the fall. the summer is A zoo any more.

October is a ways off still...I have no idea what will be going on here, but I'll plant the seed with Chryss...
I defiantly need to get on the water, its been 2 solid weeks!!
