First time at Bullards Bar + first time targeting Kokanee!

In short, I totally understand the draw of kokanee fishing now.

Deets: On Sunday, my partner and I drove to Dark Day (we got a campsite for the night).
Started fishing after check-in ISO an afternoon bite. Boat traffic was no joke but was not unexpected.
A few hours of fishing resulted in 17 total. Had a few for dinner that night and I really understand the hype -- they're truly delicious.

Next day resulted in limits for both of us.

Pink micro hoochies behind dodgers with some homemade corn was all we tried.
Reports like WON mention fishing to 70 FOW but we found them from 25-50...  :dontknow:

Nothing over 13" but we knew this lake has that reputation.
The reputation of them being scrappy little fighters is also true!

At any rate, the only thing I regret is waiting this long to get into this fishery.  :smt001

Great job it sounds like you had a lot of fun first time out for kokes!  Koke fishing fulfills my gear whore obsession as well  :smt044. Thanks for the report!

I don't appreciate these reports!
I want to go there but can't because of too much to get done at home. Reading these Koke reports and not being able to go is tough to stomach.  :smt013
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
