BTW, after the main group left BH the park ranger came by to say "Hi" and to get an update on the fishing report.  As usual he was upbeat and interested on how we did.  He did tell me a story about how he came upon one of us in the recent past who drifted a little too far south of BH and ended up trying to make the long walk back to their car.  Being the cool ranger that he was, he gave this lost soul a ride.  I thanked him on behalf of NCKA and it certainly feels good knowing that he's going to help when he can.  Hats off to you and hopefully we can share a hot dog, drink or fish with you if we get a chance.

Lesson learned that its important for everyone to keep in touch and stay within a reasonable distance of the launch.  If you get caught in the drift/wind and have to land on another beach, don't be shy and ask for help because it may be a long walk back to your car.
My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am.
