What's your favorite pice of gear you picked up last year?

Definitely that SPJ rod 3$J found a deal on. That thing has been SOOOO fun.

I was using a baitcaster on it, then I got the piscifun SPJ reel which has been working out great for shallow rockfishing.

Now I'm building a spj rod and got a $400 Ocea Jigger this year, so the fever sets quick.

Rogue rod. SM1065S2 Retail $289, picked it up for $125. Landed a bunch of Kings with it last year.

Iron basket type iron Jig bag (Small size).  I use this bag to carry jigs I plan to use for the trip.
