Those are some great pics. I remember snorkeling with baby salmon and steelhead in Waddell Creek back in the '80s. Last time I stopped by there last year it was running like cappuccino due to the forest fire scars.

Thank you! Great pics!

It reminds me a series on Netflix that I found recently.
It’s called Sea Wolves. It follows the life of wolves on the west coast of Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Lots of ocean knowledge and amazing cinematography. Highly recommended.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I used to spend a lot of weekends at a friends ranch on the Ell River near Dos Rios. We only saw salmon one time. It was a pair, and the male was following the female around. Unfortunately that area of the river was heavily populated with pike minnow, so it’s unlikely many eggs, or hatchlings survive.

Great work you are doing for the environment.

Thank You.

Nice Eric. Thank goodness the salmon still have a river like the Eel to spawn in. You and all of you who help protect it have done it good.  :smt003

Thanks for sharing.  I remember in the early 1990’s watching salmon trying to head up river at the dam at Lake Pillsbury.  Jumping up in the outflow from the dam
