Issues being able to see or post videos

So I have been having issues being able to post or view video posts on here for the last few months. It didn't used to be an issue but now it is. I was curious if anyone else has experienced this and if it can be fixed.

A lot of Videos that are put up I don't see either.

Yes. I get a box with nothing visible in it. No links.

Oddly I've been able to see them after clearing my history.  I don't get it...

The reason some videos are not showing is because you might be  browsing NCKA on https (that is, your browser is showing https://www.norcalkayakanglers.com) whereas the video link in the post that you are viewing is NOT on https (for example, http://youtube.com).

The difference between http to https is that https is for secure browsing, unlike http, which is less secure. Therefore, when  you are browsing a secure site (https), your browser won’t let you go to a non secure (http) site. It would do so by removing links to http. That’s why videos and other link on NCKA sometimes don’t show.

The way I overcome the problem is I go to the post that has the video I can’t see, and then I click on “quote”. This allows me to see the video URL. I then copy the URL and paste it into the address bar on a different tab (or the same tab).

That does work but I was hoping the fix was less time consuming.  It is what it is I guess,  thanks.
