I just saw this.  Not sure if they will have this fixed before the weather improves, but just in case they don’t, just a heads up for those of you planning to fish at HMB.  You’re gonna have to take a bit of a longer route to get there.

Sure, just like the electricity is being restored in record time at my house. Record slow time, that is...
I don't like stuff that sucks.

This section impacts too many businesses and people not to fix it asap.

That's a bummer and hopefully your pwr is restored soon.

Dang it, couldn't it have been on the valley side so I can have 35 > 92 to myself?!  :smt044

Well, google maps is showing that all of 92 from HMB to 280 is shut down now and not just the area with the sinkhole with no ETA on the start or completion of the road repair work.

That doesn’t look like something that can be fixed easily.  The people living in Pacifica are just gonna have to deal with extra traffic for a while.

I heard on the news that Cal Trans is going to divert both EB and WB traffic onto the EB lane side (undamaged) since it's two lane.  It'll keep traffic EB and WB flowing using one lane each and still be able to close off the WB two lane damaged side to repair without shutting down the entire freeway entirely.  It'll be slow both ways for a while but at least you'll be able to get to HMB using hwy 92 still.

Thanks for the info Rudy.

if ur thinking ull just try this road bc u have time to kill, DONT!!!

drove my boy over the hill via hwy 17 to pigeon pt to check out the neg tide yesterday aftrnoon. gmaps n apple BOTH said to return via 92 w about 1hr 12 min transit time including delays.

it was so wrong.  we pulled up eastbound 92 and the congestion started at about repettos.  not too bad i thought.   they bidirectionally pulse traffic on like a 25 minute period or smthing, but it seems biased for WB flow.  there was these massive long pelotons rushing WB compared to maybe several cars length advancing in our direction of travel.

we hardly moved in damn near an hour barely made it past HMB nursery n i bailed, reroutrd to Old La Honda which is ttly clear

if ur thinking ull just got it out, dont.  ttl nightmare w8times 4 a while.
to pubworx credit theres tons of signage warning of “extremely long wait times”

Its on the switchback up to skyline from the coast... right past the part where there are 4 lanes.
