Hi does anyone have any advice for a newbie on where to go for some rockfish? I’ve always went to spooners cove in morro bay but looking to try something different. Preferably with an easy launch and decent water conditions. Of course I’ll check the weather and water conditions before heading out. I have quite a bit of experience fishing from boats but new to the kayak. I live in Fresno and don’t mind a few hour drive so anything on the central coast is great. Thanks in advance.

Go to Monterey since you are from Fresno.
Pick anyplace that's not an MPA, and rocky bottom.

To start out, go to Corral St. Google it.
