it was yesterday on the new captain pete.  i spent all week going through gear.  we have a set of 20 rods and reels for these trips.  they all needed fresh line and half needed repairs of one type or another.

juan lezama and tracy wong joined me, as well as mel kon and ed marchese.

we had a group of boy scouts from the mid peninsula.  very tough group, very polite, determined to catch fish.  we boarded the new captain pete at 6:30 and were underway in just 20 minutes.  they all settled in quickly.

the deckhands, dylan and greg, were amazing.  they were great with the kids, patient and really hard working.

it was great to see mike cabanas at the wheel.

it was nice to finally get a reasonable weather day.

mike ran us all the way down to pescadero.  the kids all caught quality rockfish, a half dozen lingcod and there was even a halibut that came over the rail!

it's alot of work, but a great way to give back to the community.
