Bold move by the Intrepid. Couldn't go South due to the hurricanes so they travelled North the same distance they would usually travel South. They ended up fishing albacore North of Fort Bragg and put a few on the boat along with a very nice big-eye tuna.

I think the guys that got the 125lb yellowfin from near Shelter Cove had a picture of the Intrepid up there.  :smt002

Crazy.

Wild!

When I read a report of them going north, I figured they got em up in the morrro area…..ft. bragg is nuts.  Gotta give credit to em, that is some go for broke fishing.  Wonder if they stopped for Rockies or Salmon anywhere along the way.

Here's the YFT that was caught by a fisherman from Shelter Cove.

Going that far north is definitely a "send it" kind of move.  Good job on them for bagging some albacore.

they posted yesterday that they're picking up central coast rockfish now. not bad at all.  They got 30 albies for the boat which is a little slow but not bad too!   I thought people were messing with us when we heard them talking on the radio

I just read a report of yellow tail out of eureka within the albies.

Freaking yellow tail (not just the yellow fin and BFT that were showing up)

Probably a handful of durado last month as well. Norcal get ready for some cattle boats cause times are changing.

kinda mindboggling to see YFT, yellowtail, and dorado up there.
A few years ago a yellowtail was caught near Fingers offshore from Davenport. I think it was about this time of year.
