Capitola by the Sea?

Am headed to my 55th high school reunion (class of ‘67) Soquel High School, on the 17th of September. I grew up in Capitola during my high school years.

Weather permitting, I would like to do a day of kayak fishing out of Capitola on the 18th. May rent a yak from the pier unless someone has another suggestion?

that's a pretty easy way to git er done.... If it was me, I'd just hang out in the kelp or inside the kelp working up towards the hook/pleasure point area.  halibut there n the inside.  White sea bass kelp bed residents are caught by paddleboarders just recent.

I'll be coming back from Monterey that weekend, otherwise I'd loan you my extra kayak, MB fishing tournament is that Saturday

Not sure what I will be doing on the 18th but you are more than welcome to use a trident 13 I have set up for fishing. I am in Salinas. Message me if you would like to.

Or just rent a skiff from the pier. Might be a little more enjoyable without all the trouble. Call a couple days ahead to see if they have fresh squid.
