Great conditions

Fished zigzags loops deep shallow inside outside from about 11 to 6 without a scratch

Very little wind and 5-10ft swell coming at you from both west and south made things interesting  Confused water and lots of big steep ones

Tough to take pictures, I tried but kept having to drop the camera and grab the paddle Took a lot of washes and was twirled once but managed to stay topside all day

Landing Muir with a south swell is a blast The worst of it was aimed right at the nudie beach    I scouted the main beach for 1/2 hr looking for the sweet spot until I figured out there wasn't one

No salmon but wasn't bored once Fishing from a yak gives you the best of both worlds

No gws today

You're very brave...great effort. Too bad you didn't hook up. Do you ever launch out of Bolinas? I find that even though it's a rough entrance, the waves don't break all the way, so it's actually an easy launch.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Still due for a hog...  Good luck, Paul.

Big salmon for the year could be caught by a gutless river angler!   :smt003

Bolinas is good but it can be schizoid, just depends on the day and time The tide runs or south swell can make it pretty brutal

At the end of the 04 season I almost drowned there coming in

If you do come in and see it breaking all the way across the mouth you can usually find a spot along the beach to the left The break zone is usually shorter there so you can sneak in behind breakers

I sure miss fishing the rivers  You got the life man

I'm not in any contests Smaller fish really do taste better on the dinner table 10 - 20 lbs is very nice If I have big and small fish the big one is what we give away first

Remember the scene from a perfect storm, where the fishing boat is going up like a 150' breaker?!   Look close and you'll see a blue kayak playing a fish and dropping the camera to brace against the swell!  :smt003
