Lost Coast Joe and I decided to give salmon one last try for the season. We left the yaks at home (tough call ) and took the Striper out of Bodega Bay. Perfect weather and sea conditions. We trolled for salmon for several hours with no luck. We did not see or hear of any salmon caught the whole day. We fished Bird Rock to Elephant rock, 50 Ft. to 150Ft. We tried Apex's and straight bait with the hope of lucking into one last salmon for the year but it wasn't to be. We finished up the day with nonstop rock fish action in approx. 180 Ft west of Elephant Rock. One legal ling and some nice Verms.

Looks like we will have to wait for next year on the salmon. Oh, I almost forgot. We caught some HUGE Yellow Eye and Canary and hopefully they all survived after being gently released.

Cool pictures. I always wanted to know what elephant rock looked like. Now I just need to get out to pr and fish it. Thanks.                 Jim/redyak
