Hog Island?

Anybody planning on fishing around hog island anytime soon?  I'm thinking of fishing there tomorrow or Friday(6:30,7ish). The weekends are to crowded at nick cove, and I'm off the next two days.  I fished all morning on Monday with only one quick take down but the hook didn't stick. I did catch a ton of smelts in the 12" range, that was fun but I want a hali' or maybe a sturgeon.  I saw them jumping Monday morning. 
Even though it's been pretty much dead for everybody lately, I'm not giving up

did you see sturgeon jumping?

 Has anyone caught one there?

Tomales for sure, is one place you can never be sure what your going to get. I've caught, halibut, several types of sharks, rays, salmon once, perch, heard of sturgeon and stripers. Place is fertile for sure. I may give it a go this week (Fri). Not sure right now, but if I go I'll drop you a line.

While I was making bait I saw 2 sturgeon about ten minutes apart jump out of the water. They were about 4' to 5' but definite worth trying for. I need to get a anchor first though.

The condition reports are looking SEXY  today through the week-end.

I have prior plans to hit Fort Ross this week-end...but if I didn't I'd definitely take this oppurtunity to get out there!!
