So...arrived at launch before six. Parking spots open but filling fast. Outgoing tide so I went south of Hog and made a long drift without a bite to Tom's Point. Between there and Lawsons I got the only bite of the day but it was a nice fish. As the tide turned I hooked a 50# bat ray and tried to break it off but was having a hard time. Should've wrapped the gaff with the line and yanked but I decided to tow it to shore and retrieve my jig and release it. Mouth hooked, not wing. Long drift to south of Hog where I started. Not another bite so call it a day. I saw one other fish caught on a pb. Slow Tomales.

Appreciate the TB reports and fully agree that a day on the bay is always good. Fish and/or crab are just icing on the cake.
