Ok getting a little confused about campsite reservations.  I'm planning on attending BAM IV on Oct. and have read that there is plenty of camping, according to some pics posted, it looks like we can camp pretty much anywhere within that area.  Is the area pictured a "group site"   If so, why are people reserving camp sites for the CSBA?

For BAM, Sean is able to reserve the creme de la creme of campsites.  To say its huge would be an understatement.  Not sure why he doesn't get it for the CSBA event, maybe because it's not available.  And thus people are required to make their own arrangements.  I'm sure he or somebody else is in the know will have an answer.

Sean "Scwafish" White is the host of the GWKC tournaments (ELK and BAM) as well as the secretary of the CSBA and this is probably where the confusion lies.

Anyway, the members of the Ukiah chapter of the CSBA hold the tournament on their local lake and therefore don't need camping. Remember, it's only us out of town kayak anglers that need the camping.

Duh!  Makes complete sense.  Thanks for setting me straight Brian.  Always need a veteran around to set us newbies straight. :smt003

I believe that the number of non-Elk resident entries is limited. So when the call for signups occurs, get a move on or you'll be resigned to observer status.

Sean, My check and reg form has been sent for the CSBA tourney. I'm looking forward to it... thanks.

I will be sharing the camp site with Hojo man (seperate sleeping quarters!).

Martin, even if I were to think about signing up, I don't think I would. Even if I had one of Mooch's personal female yak haulers. Just looking at that hill wears me out. Nothin' wrong with bringing some chow for everyone though...but that will have to be next year.

CSBA is getting closer  :smt003

Is there a web site somewhere that I can register for this tournament? Or, is there a contact person, time, and place before the tournament where I can get registered for the tourney?
