Hi All,
I’m Chris. I live in Flagstaff and Phoenix, AZ though I spent some years in the PNW and Bay Area growing up. I currently do most of my fishing in the Sea of Cortez or inland lakes but I try to get up to NorCal or Oregon/Washington once a year or so. I have a couple setups including a wilderness systems kayak, a 13 ft Zodiac, an older 70’s deep V fiberglass boat.

I’m headed to Bellingham, WA for a funeral and I’m planning a trip with my 5 year old daughter hoping to camp/fish a bit on the way up there. Taking the Zodiac since she will be with me and was considering either Bodega Bay or Shelter Cove to fish a couple days.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for either place. I’ve been to Shelter Cove once a couple of years ago and had a great time.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome, Chris

You might try Russian Gulch Campsite near Mendocino.  It is my favorite campsite.
If you have a beach cart, you can launch your Zodiac at the beach area.

Welcome to our community Chris  :smt006. I love Shelter Cove and highly recommend this place for both camping and fishing.
