... it seems to me that getting the mirage drive insert exactly right would be a major challenge. I think I'd opt for something like the insert used by Baitman in his Santa Cruz Raptor G2:

Not at all … it would be really easy to make a two part mold, top half and bottom half. Use any Hobie craft and make a mold of the hole. Do it as a sacrificial mold built into the fake Lynx. When all done, destroy the mold and you are left with the hole, perfectly sized and shaped.
