There’s a waterway between the lake and slough on the northwest end of the lake.  Could have come in as a smaller fish and become landlocked.  Who knows.

That could definitely be the reason why this halibut (possible more?) is even in there.

I just find it interesting halibut even make it back this far in the bay. Maybe might start trolling for them in Alviso lol

With how much rain we got and recently started to warm up, I’m not surprised they’re in the deeper parts of the Bay.  Stepdad used to catch them around Dumbarton back in the 80s and 90s and I’ve seen some as far north at Sacramento.
