Road trip insight

Planning on going on a road trip in 2023.
So far solo Overland camping with my kayak just trying to hear a few places you guys would suggest I check out.
I'm going from Sonoma county to lake crescent in Washington.

Love to hear some suggestions

Sounds like a cool trip! I lived in Oregon and travelled the coast a lot, then lived in Westport WA for a few years, 2007-2009. 

Which way are you going up, 101 or 5?

Will def give you a list of cool spots when I have a little more time.

Ocean or inland?

If you're doing the coastal route, definitely launch at Russian Gulch State park.  Lots of good fishing there with a super easy beach launch in a sheltered cove.  Another spot, and one of my faves is Timber Cove.  There's ramp down to the water (ramp could use some improvements, and I think they charge a launch fee, but still provides access close to the water).

Trindad Bay off the beach by the pier - it's spectacular and pretty sheltered.

Big Lagoon and Stone Lagoon just up the road

Ten Mile Lake just south of Reedsport, OR.  Beautiful lake with Ospreys everywhere - the Rv park is called Osprey Point (Not a well maintained park and if you stay there DO NOT stay in a space near the garbage truck that they let stew and stink until the haul it off - it's by the office - get on the other side of the park... trust me!)
