Going to try fishing china camp on sat. High tide is 11:30 almost a 10 ft change. Called Keith at Loch Lomond and he said fishing has been alright but with the big tide change hopefully it picks up, going to pick up some ghost shrimp. Will launch around 730-8 after picking up bait.

We’ll fish at the appointed time cuz we’ll be fishin’!  It’s quite boring until that precious moment that it goes off but it can be entertaining to be bored freezing on the anchor, you never what conversation evolves on that radio :smt005 :smt006

Good luck and keep and eye on the outgoing tide level - the mud walk at bullhead flat is a PIA when you stay out too long. I believe you can go deeper into the low tide launching/landing at china camp.

I just realized all of my dino waypoints were on my old fish finder that is now dead -- need to get out and make some new marks I guess.

Cheers,
Brad

China camp is full mud walk at 1 ft tide stage.  Luckily on sat, this falls right around 4 pm, which is close enough to sunset that you probably will be near land at that point.  The mudwalk sucks... I feel like it is more worth it to wait until the tide reverses than slog through the mud plane.

I got my first dino (42") in 2020 about 20 min before the 1.5 ft tide stage and paddled back to China camp in 5 inches of water just in time to avoid it.  Also that day, I met Eddie for the first time - he had a 51" dino hanging from his yak and was all smiles!

Thanks I made that mistake once had to get picked up at mcnears and drive over to china camp to pick up my car. Maybe I should just launch at mcnears so I don’t have to worry lol
