That's a fact.  I've read I don't even need to GoID label them or have a crab stamp.  Don't trust me though, I'm sure someone will chime in... :smt006

I cannot see where marker buoys are required for hoop nets.

The little red buoys aren’t required and neither is the crab stamp. GO ID is easy and I already have them on my buoys. Not 100% if that’s required but doesn’t hurt

I'm not going to use the little red buoys so they are not confused with traps. Ironically, I have been using a little red buoy on mine for years so I could tell they were mine.

My understanding is that hoops do not require the red buoy, nor the GO ID, nor the validation. Hooping through the regulations ( :smt044) feels like delinquency....
