Here is a video of a September trout fishing trip my wife and I went on. Had a really cool encounter with some bears!

Nice video. Took my wife to Walker river trout fishing ten years, she got hooked. Now it’s our annual trip to Walker. Couple of time we got caught in the rain, she would not quit. She’s  my fishing partner now. Great memories.

Nice fishing and catching!

Is the river low, or is that typical for September?
There's always money in the banana stand.

This was my first year fishing that area so I'm not sure if that was typical or not. I'm guessing it's pretty low since the surrounding area is in a good drought.

What area were yOu fishing?  Just went up to Yosemite for a couple days and looked like. The river would be fun, but access looked pretty bad along most of 140.  Too old to do a lot of rock climbing.

I fish near El Portal but it is a lot of rock hopping to reach the good holes. Further down  stream it's not as bad but it is more smallmouth than trout.
