Hi everyone,
I'm new to kayak fishing and recently got a Hobie Outback in July. I live in Petaluma and have taken it out in Tomales a couple of times and managed to catch a couple halibut, and once in Capitola where I had a juvie great white tow me around for a second before thankfully coming off.  I  am headed to Ocean Cove next weekend to see if I can get some rockfish.  Anyone have any safety pointers for that area?  Thanks I'm really enjoying reading everyone's posts and trying to learn as much as I can.
John

Welcome!  :smt006  A good beach wheeling cart can make all the difference going up and down that hill at OC! The top favorite is usually the Wheeleez Beach Cart, but on an OB they have one made by Hobie with smaller tires, still works pretty good.

Thanks guys! Im driving straight from work in the morning to get a site at Ocean Cove for the weekend then back to work, then back up for a couple days if fishing if the weather allows it!  Obsession and addiction are definitely becoming part of my vocabulary!

Welcome! Would love to hear how you did at Ocean Cove....

only been there once but it was great!

I'm super-intimidated by the ramp though, I don't know if I trust myself to back down that thing lol
