Good god I cant even imagine.

CA State record for ocean salmon is about that size:

Looks like it was caught on the mooch! 

Looks a bit like Cook inlet, Kenai river fish. I believe 100 pounders have been caught in the Kenai river.

Kinda sad to see -- have read that these huge chinook are several years older than the typical 4 year old chinook that returns to spawn... That's several more years of escaping hooks and nets which, decreases the chances of their genes being passed on.

You wanna get sadder, read about "June Hogs" that used to run in the PWN (specifically the Colombia River) on a massive scale.  Salmon renowned for their size and fat content, sometimes ranging to 125# and higher, harvested by first nations tribes for thousands of years before industrialization.  Heavy commercial fishing and then dam construction put an end to those.
