Lake mendocino 8-20-07

Launched at 0630 hours. Headed to the South side of the island and heard a familiar sound across the lake at the overflow dam. I saw several gulls diving into the water and knew that the striper were boiling.

I paddled my butt off and got into the boil. I hooked one, landed him, snapped a quick pic, then released him. Boil still going, so I cast out again. Another hook-up. I landed him, snapped a quick pic, and let him go.

About an hour and a half later I heard the sound again. I paddled over and hooked-up again. Three in one day! And three LMB and a SMB too!. Another great day on Mendo.

Sweet release, its a good feeling aint it?! Ill try to do it on a mendo striper one of these days, but they taste sooooo good!
