Delta: White Slough

Launched out of King Island around 5:30 this morning and made my way out White Slough to the San Joaquin.  Top water on deer hair bass bug was good until about 0700.  (my second attempt at tying a bass bug.  Not the best, but the fish didn't seem to care.  ) Man the top water fly rod thing is something else.  I missed a lot of fish- have to stop that Texas rigged worm hookset on the fly rod....Switched over to sink tip and streamer after that.  I didn't catch anything big but caught enough that I lost count - all largemouth.  Hooked one small striper.  A couple small boats trolling in white slough right said they caught a couple stripers.
