Maybe we need to adjust the word 'shark' as well, since it's giving negative opinions about this large toothy fish.  Lets call them Great White Fish instead...

and we are no longer "victims" of a shark attack (err encounter) we are "individuals intentionally entering an environment known to have risks".  That way the poor innocent shark is not to be blamed for its actions.
