Hey NCKA Members,

We have been doing reasonably well on Rainbow Trout at New Melones.  Looking to see if anyone has been up to Spicer or Beardsley yet.  If so, how is the action?

Not yet. But tell us more about the Rainbow bite at Melones. I'm heading there for a couple of days next week.

Jerry and I have been to New Melones several times since the first of the year landing about 12-15 Rainbows each trip, averaging anywhere from 13"to 21" in length.  Needlefish and Thomas Bouyant seem to work best.

Itching to go back to NM, and thinking of Beardsley next month.  But chilling this weekend and getting ready for the following weekend at Amador.

Typically yes.  Road is usually closed this time of year due to snow.  however, due to lack of snow in this area this year, just wondering if anyone has been up there.
