Did Convict Lake this afternoon. On my hobie i11s kayak. Saw a lot of nice fish swimming, but no biters. Wind and rain came up on way back from far end. Wind and swell rolled the kayak. Maybe 8’ depth. Only lost a nice pair of pliers and the battery and case for the sonar. Nice clear water, about 67 degrees. May take a dive tomorrow to see if I find stuff.

Yesterday did Crowley in the boat.  No bites.   Not much catching, water 75.  Afternoon thunderstorms and winds.

Went to Twin Lakes next day, nice kayaking, but no bites on flys or lures.  Seems as if anchor and power bait are the hot setup.  Did not want to do that.  Watched a bear get one nice fish in the shallows and worked around to someone’s stringer.   Posted videos on Vimeo.

Whoa, I have been running an I11S for a couple of years now and did not think they could be rolled! Think I will pay better attention to affixing my gear now.

I was a little under inflated and the wind was at least 35 mph.  I think the waves lifted up the side enough for the wind to get underneath.
