Early August targets in North Coast?

Hi NCKA folks,

I’m thinking about spending several days on the North Coast (Salt Point or north-er) with my kayak. Camping probably. I’m looking at that first week in August. Any recommendations?

I’d be interested in targeting salmon, ling, rockfish, or anything else you’d recommend. Halibut up there?

I’m also planning on doing some snorkel spear fishing, if the visibility allows.

Happy to meet up with some folks, if anyone’s interested.

I’ll be camping at Salt point July 30-Aug 1 and targeting rockfish and lings. Will that overlap your trip? I don’t have any knowledge or experience with salmon or halibut in the area.
