Linda Mar- Double GWS Encounter

Isn't it a requirement that all shark sighting posts have to include whether or not a shark shield was in use?

I only recall one encounter with a Sharkshield deployed. It was the Inn Keeper, he turned it of to dislodge a hook, and got slammed for the third time. You can read about it in this thread:

Inn Keeper nice guy  , probably forgotten more about fishing and gear than most people will learn ..but yeah he's a magnet , so don't fish near him ...wink   

SharkShield was off when he got hit, so I guess we never know  if SS is working (although if the stats are correct, it is working)

2 in one day... i think you beat the "more likely to be killed by lightning" odds.  Time to buy a lottery ticket!

that's the thing.  huge lineups of surfers float around everyday. 

i'd be much less concerned on a kayak.
