Shelter Cove - 6/9/21

Great trip yesterday with Paul and Ben - followup clients who've done some epic days with me over the past several years.  We got a flat ocean and very light winds, but the current was ripping hard from the north.  I had to crack the whip on my guys to keep from drifting too far from port, and luckily the fish were snapping really well.  We pushed it hard for about 7 hours on the water and then I got to fillet two dozen fish before sending them on their way with loaded coolers, tired arms and happy smiles.

These trips are about way more than the fishing.  Positive engagement with other human beings has come to mean so much more in this unexpectedly tumultuous and uncertain time.  Other aspects of the offshore kayaking expedition - challenge, discovery, wildlife interaction, naturefest... - make for an amazing experience that is designed to elicit emotions that go beyond just camaraderie or entertainment.  We are fully alive out there, and the hard work enhances the potential rewards available to us.  Come in to these opportunities with an open heart and a desire not just for catching but for really feeling it, and you may find that this type of "work camp" experience is exactly what you need.

Close - it's Tom!  The Arthur's did a family extended stay.  Long time father-son GS participants and great guys.  TBONE and his dad.
