Got on the water about 7 on Sunday, and it was windy and choppy to start off. Seemed like it might be a short day, but the wind and chop died down completely after an hour or so and it was a beautiful morning. There were a few other kayakers out there and fewer powerboats than I expected.

I drifted and trolled around and felt like I covered some ground, but the flatties weren't cooperating. All I caught was 3 or 4 dogfish that did the obligatory death rolls to try and tangle and mangle my rigs. Used frozen anchovies on a double drop shot for a while, tried some whole squid, and switched to a single-hook rig to troll single anchovies for a bit. From the guys I chatted with, it sounded a little slow for keepers. Some guys had caught a few shorts.

By 11/11:30 the wind was blowing again and the chop was back up. Time to go. No dinner fish for the wife lady but it was nice to get out and enjoy a good stretch of excellent weather between the windy times.

Been watching the wind conditions... just not cooperating.  Hopefully next week things will settle down.
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
