Hi all, I have enjoyed fishing from a kayak for a few years now and this year I have upgraded to a Hobie Outback. I haven’t been doing much ocean fishing but hopping to include that soon but would need to get some other gear first. Most of my fishing has been lakes and streams. This year I have been doing well at Folsom lake for Bass and when it gets hot I will head into the sierra Mountains for Trout in the cooler weather and waters. Great day at Folsom Lake today, 13 landed, most were too small just under 12" but fun to land anyway. I did have 4 keepers including a 22" Rainbow Trout and my first ever Sacramento Pikeminnow.

Welcome FCG. I joined a few months back. I've already learned a lot from this site and fished with a few of its members. I'm in Sac. and have been mostly fishing for Kokanee at Bullards bar but plan on hitting the high lakes soon. Itchin' to try the Bay or Pacific  too. Your welcome to join me next weekend at Bullards. There are a ton of bass in there. I've caught quite a few when targeting Kokes.

Thanks for the invite; I would love to explore a new body of water. I have never fished that fishery. so what day, time and launch location? Below is my contact info and I will probably reach out to you on your tackle and rigging for what you plan to go after (Lures, Plastics, Deep water, Troll or plug). I have been fishing Folsom lake and it took me a few trips to find what the bass liked. I used jigs, worms, swim bait and crank baits. I found trolling with 2 specific lures put fish on the line consistently.  :fishing2

Ken, looks like 5Weight and I are hitting Bullards Bar this Saturday 15th. I'll be at the Dark Day ramp about 6:30. Feel free to call me 916 695-2232 for info on tackle, bait and setup.

Hey Ken. I'm from Roseville too! My name is Tony. Have you been out to the ocean yet? Looking forward to my first time. Hit me up if you ever need a fishing buddy.
