:smt006 Just ordered my first rod-reel.   Mooch has given me much good advice for rods and reels, (thanks Joel!) and I'll get those later, but for starters I couldn't pass up this deal:  Two piece Ugly Stik w/ reel and line, plus pliers, lanyard, and tackle bag. $30. Yum.  Fine stocking stuffer. Here fishy fishy...  Ho Ho Ho!

Hmm...Maybe I should get another one for the GF and earn some more GAF.  Actually I suffer more from GIF.   Girlfriend Insists on Fishing.  Life is tough.   :smt002   -Matt

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

My fav trout rod I lost over the side at Loch Lomond a few seasons ago now was an Ugly stik.  The 5'4 1 piece with shimano (something, can't remember its name ^%$#)  2000 with 6lb test nayhow I've replaced the set up.  That is a great deal, as my replacement rod went $42! and you get a bag and the pliers!
If I weren't crunching pennies right now I'd have to get me one!

That is an awesome deal. If I didn't already have a couple nice trout setups I'd probably grab one.
