Memorial Day

The Day is one for us to honor the men and women in our military who passed while serving our country.  It is not the day to thank veterans and active duty for their service.  Anyday other than Monday is a good day to thank them. (my son who is in the Air Force let me know) . He also said; "Don't wish anyone a “Happy Memorial Day”.  Memorial Day is not founded in joy with the promise of bringing happiness each year. "

Thanks for posting this.  It's really awkward when folks are thanking you for your service on Memorial Day and you know it comes from the best intentions and don't want to correct them on the spot and make them feel bad.

Let's pour one out for our shipmates and fellow soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
