Jim (Rockfish) and his better half Cryss arrived at my humble home Fri night around 11 and shot the bull for a little to long and hit the hay around 12:30 to rise at 530 and head out to drop TY off at his Aunts  :smt010.. I gave Jim and Cryss the 3 doller tour of the face of the dam (my Dad was one of the tunnel rats who helped build) and we finally got on the water around 7:30. Sorry guys we might have done better if we would have been there at dark thirty. We paddled straight across the face of the dam over to the bouy line and got in line with the other 7-8 boats. A very nice group of people. Very slow day, we saw maybe 3-4 nice 19-20 inch Cohos caught for the 2+ hours we tried and also heard of a 4-5 lb Rainbow caught on Anchovy! whats up with that? Jim and Cryss wanted to see the Hatchery so we loaded up and grabbed a Burger at a little place across the street from hatchery. A little spendy for burgers but hands down the best I have ever had. The veiwing window wasn't open :smt009 but the Salmon were stacked up (maybe 1500) at the little dam. I then took them out to the ZOO (Outlet hole) and Gravel pits that my Grandfather used :smt013 to own. The area is now called the Oroville wildlife area. Hopefully pics to follow (Cryss)?  Thanks for coming up guys and you are always welcome (as is anyone else ). Randall
PS: oh yeah Jim did catch a small, small, Smallie  :smt003

Chryss and I had a real good time up at Randall's place, what a beautiful area!
though no full size fish were caught, we had a good time on like oroville.  I had one good size fish blow up on my crank bait while I was dealing with a big-ol backlash  :smt013
I think that the dawn and dusk bite at the dam would be pretty good, I was marking lots of fish in 8 to 15 feet of water along the face.

Cant wait till there are more fish in the river, that low-flow section looks like it would be allot of fun.
Thanks again Randall for the hospitality, we'll be back :)
