Lake Merced

Has anyone fished Lake Merced recently? I want to try and get my nephews into some trout and Lake Merced came up as a possibility.
Is it productive these days?
Any tips would be much appreciated.

I fished it last year end of February for nada.

I know the DFW stocks it, but I wonder how much damage the cormorants do.

There's a LOT of Sacramento Blackfish and carp in there, but getting them to bite is another story.
