What time is gate open at Ft. Ross?

Been a spell since I finished there  early but does anyone know what time the gates open at Fort Ross? Thanks in advance

I don't think they have an established gate opening time.  I think it is typically open between 6 AM - 9 AM depends on when the first employee arrives.

It’s really a crapshoot as to when they will open.

The million dollar question!  I hit Ft. Ross a couple times right at the end of the year and the gate was open when I got there 6:30-7ish....

But what I can do is hang on the beach, go pokepole’n in the early am, snare later and
Fish from the beach, and enjoy a beautiful day!

To make it interesting, if peeps are interested; I’ll run a
$5 Pool for big fish! Person with the longest fish takes the pot! Who knows what could happen...
If what I’m seeing is true, it’s gonna be a real nice day OTW!

Scotty loaned me his secret rig to try out, since he's on the beach for a couple more weeks. Nailed an undersize ling first drop with it, then silence for the rest of the afternoon until the wind came up.  THanks Scotty for the support and the tunes! I probably should have had a tastykake....

The morning of the opener at the Fort was Flat Ass Calm!
I mean it was one of the flattest days I’ve seen out there!
At noon it was another story...
Crossed path’s with a few new peeps  as they were launching and landing and I enjoyed a beautiful NorCal beach day
Had a knee repair recently and now recovering on the beach helps!
I had the pleasure of meeting “the other Eddie”, fishemition, as well.
He was kind enough to trade me a Ling from his bag of fish he just slaid!
In return I gave him some ipa’s, Ales, and stouts!
 But he’a a silver bullet guy... 🤔

Low tide is always fun to discover that world you rarely get to see,
as for fishing from shore, it just robs ya or ur gear!!
Of the 10-12 kayak fishermen there  that day,
Some got skunked, some had a few, and some had limits!
Saw some crabs too.... so there ya go!
They’re out there, ya just have to do a little work to
“get some”
