Anyone have any insight on these? After our first trip crabbing in the bay it is apparent we need to be in Better shape. Our shoulders and necks were sore from pulling pots and rings. Was a great day.
Looking for a way to help ease the strain of pulling pots. Anyone use one of the pulleys? I like the idea, just not sure how well they will hold up. Thanks.

I have been using it for both Dungeness Crab and Lobster hoop netting for the last three years.  They are a great help to pull the crab traps from 100 feet of water.
By using this puller you can use a downward motion to pull the traps which is much easier.  I highly recommend it.

I was dubious - it looks like pulling up a crab trap would put a lot of strain and leverage on the attachment and the hull of your kayak. But 123Engineering says that it works, and there are some YouTube videos which show it working well.

I used them on three of my Hobie kayaks without any issues.  If your Scotty rod holder base is installed properly, I don't think you will have any issues.

2 things:  I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but mentioned  you crabbed in "the bay."  FYI, the SF Bay is off limits for crab.  Second thing, the Trap Ease is very helpful for me, as I have had 2 shoulder surgeries, and the device spares me the lifting motion by replacing it with a horizontal pulling motion.

“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”

I've seen a few folks out on the water using the trap ease.  I haven't observed any stability issues and everyone I've talked to that has one has had nothing but good things to say about them.  It's high on my list of gear to pick up if I start dropping pots in deeper water.

FYI, the SF Bay is off limits for crab.

It's only off limits for dungies.  You can take rock crabs within the SF Bay.
