sorry if this is not in the right section, as you can see im a newb.... but im looking for a place for good wind reports and forcast's for the bay (launch out of alameda usualy
) just want to have an idea for what im in for....  TIA....

One option is the NOAA NWS forecast.

Another option is a wind surfer website called iwindsurf.com.  They spend a lot of time trying to predict when the winds will be nice and strong, ironically many of us use it for the opposite.  Anyway it's a pay for service but for some reason I can always get this chart for free which works well for me.  Here's the link for Alameda.

The best place I have found for wind is actually Weather Underground. They have all these weather stations that provide real time weather. For example here is one near Half Moon Bay.

They have a lot of these and are great for checking conditions before you head out the door. These are way better for near shore conditions like wind than the NOAA forecast.
