Hey everyone,

I bit tired of having lawn parties in the surf.  Anyone know a good instructor that can teach my son and I how to successfully launch and re-enter in the surf zone. Obviously willing to compensate them.  Let me know.

Go out and practice in just a wetsuit. Don't bring any gear and practice launching and landing. It is all timing. Never easy surf launching

I used Blue Waters Kayaking out of Point Reyes Station and did private lessons out of Drakes Beach, as I couldn't get a group together during COVID. I prefer the one on one (3 hours) versus the group classes (6 hours). The scheduling of the lesson required follow up on my part but the instructor was really good. the cost isn't that expensive.

Adam at Monterey Bay Kayaks has done clinics in the past.
My son and I did one last year.  It was very helpful and Adam was great.

Liquid fusion in Fort Bragg.   Great folks and certified kayak instructors.
