Humboldt Inland Water Crabbing - 1/2/21

Got some use out of the new fishing license and spent some quality time with the kid yesterday down at the mouth of the river.  Swells were coming right in to the parking lot area since the mouth has shifted north again, and once in a while sets of small swells moved across the estuary around us - gotta know where the sand bars are or you might get a free self-rescue chance.  The current was ripping worse than I've ever seen - all six pieces of gear walked, but it still fished!  We picked up half a limit and will be glad for more crab cakes soon.

Steelhead time is coming on now.
