Had an amazing final day of the season at Fort Ross. Caught 3 lings let 1 go  and a beautiful huge verm around 25 inches and fat. 2 crab traps produced 3 rock crab, 2 star fish and 3 sea urchins.

I like a kui style stringer for the bigger fish the loop stringer can't handle.  You can use the spike (or a knife) to ikijime first, then thread it right through the eyes and they aren't falling off.

Seems like the Lings were hitting last week. Three of us went out at Caspar, about an hour behind three other kayakers, and we all got Lings. The other guys limited out, we lost a few fish so ended up with one apiece. Mine was a male full of milt... good thing the season closed, they are ready to spawn.

That Verm is a beaut! I went into deeper water in search of one like it, but failed to find any.
